Product · Wood Briquettes
Wholesale wood briquettes — RUF, Nestro and Pini-Kay.
High-density hardwood briquettes are the fastest-growing segment of European domestic solid fuel. Clean, compact, easy to store, and burning 2–3 hours per unit — they convert well in urban retail, at fuel stations, and as an add-on to any firewood range. Supplied by the pallet or full container from Latvia.
Three briquette formats
RUF rectangular, Nestro round-with-hole, Pini-Kay octagonal. All 100% clean hardwood sawdust, no binders.
Sub-10% moisture
Kiln-dried before pressing. Calorific value 4.6–4.9 kWh/kg — well above split hardwood logs on a like-for-like basis.
Container-ready
~24 tonnes per 40ft container. Retail-packed or bulk-palletised. DIN Plus / ENplus alignment on request.
Why briquettes sell so well at retail
Modern households have less storage space, higher heating expectations and less patience for tending fires. Briquettes solve all three: they stack tight, burn long, light easily, and produce almost no visible smoke — perfect for urban stove owners.
For merchants and retailers, briquettes are also a shelf-stable, low-return, high-margin product that complements every firewood range.
The three briquette formats
RUF: rectangular blocks, pressed at very high density. Easy to stack, clean to handle, popular in retail bundles of 5–10 kg.
Nestro: cylindrical with a central hole. The hole improves airflow and light-up speed. Long-standing favourite in German, Polish and Baltic retail.
Pini-Kay: octagonal with a centre hole. Highest surface hardness, longest single-unit burn time. Positions as the premium briquette in most European markets.
How we ship briquettes
Standard container load is around 24 tonnes — 24 x 960kg pallets, or approximately 1,920 x 10kg retail packs. Bulk pallets for merchants, shrink-wrapped retail packs for supermarkets, and mixed pallets on request.
Full DIN Plus / ENplus documentation is available for buyers targeting the certified retail segment.
Frequently asked
What types of wood briquettes do you supply?+
RUF (rectangular pressed), Nestro (round with a centre hole) and Pini-Kay (octagonal with a centre hole). All three are 100% clean hardwood sawdust, no binders, moisture below 10%, calorific value around 4.6–4.9 kWh/kg.
How many briquettes fit in a 40ft container?+
Roughly 24 tonnes per container — about 24 pallets of 960kg each, or 1,920 x 10kg retail packs.
Do briquettes have a longer burn than logs?+
