Wholesale Supply · Germany

Wholesale kiln-dried firewood for German merchants and importers.

Timberlink supplies full-load containers of kiln-dried birch, oak, ash and alder firewood, kindling and wood briquettes from our Latvian mill to buyers across Germany. Every crate is BImSchV Stufe 2 compliant, DIN Plus available on request, with predictable landed cost per m³ and 3–4 week lead times.

BImSchV Stufe 2 compliant

Kiln-dried below 20% moisture — comfortably inside the German legal limit for domestic solid fuel. DIN Plus certification available on request.

Direct road freight

Curtainsider trucks from Latvia to Hamburg, Berlin, Munich and beyond in 2–4 days. Container sea freight via Kiel and Hamburg for larger volumes.

Baltic hardwood at scale

60–64 crates per 40ft container of birch, oak, ash and alder — the species German stove and open-fire buyers already prefer.

Why German buyers import firewood from Latvia

Domestic German firewood is expensive and increasingly hard to source in commercial volumes. Latvian mills like ours combine long-cycle Baltic forestry, industrial-scale kiln capacity, and direct road access to the German market via the Baltic land bridge.

For an importer, wholesaler or DIY chain, the effect is simple: lower cost per cubic metre, tighter moisture spec, and predictable weekly deliveries — even through the September–February peak when domestic capacity tightens.

How we ship to Germany

Full 40ft container by sea via Kiel or Hamburg — best cost per m³ for buyers south of the Ruhr or with slower stock turn. Around 60–64 crates of 1m³ hardwood, or 32 crates of 2m³, or approximately 3,000 retail bags.

Curtainsider road freight from our yard direct to your gate for anywhere from Berlin to the Rhine. Faster (2–4 days), easier to unload without a container ramp, marginally higher freight cost.

Groupage / part loads on request for first orders or top-ups. Most repeat German buyers move to full loads by their third order once sell-through is proven.

Certifications and paperwork

Every consignment ships with a commercial invoice, packing list, phytosanitary certificate where required, and FSC/PEFC chain-of-custody references. DIN Plus certification is available on request for buyers targeting the retail stove market.

Intra-community EU B2B invoicing is standard — reverse-charge VAT with a valid German VAT number.

Species and packaging

Birch is the volume leader for the German market: clean flame, fast to light, mid-range heat, suits open fires and stoves. Oak and ash carry a premium for slow, hot burns. Alder is popular for saunas and smoking.

Packaging options: 1m³ and 2m³ hardwood crates, 22L and 40L netted retail bags, kindling pallets, and RUF / Nestro / Pini-Kay wood briquette pallets. Mixed loads in a single container are our default.

Frequently asked

Do you deliver full loads to Germany?+

Yes. We ship 40ft containers and curtainsider road freight from our Latvian mill to buyers across Germany, from Hamburg and Bremen to Bavaria and Berlin. Typical transit is 2–4 days by road and 5–7 days by sea via Kiel or Hamburg.

Does your firewood meet DIN Plus / BImSchV standards?+

Every crate is kiln-dried below 20% moisture — comfortably inside the German BImSchV Stufe 2 requirement of ≤25%. DIN Plus certification is available on request for buyers who need it for retail.

What species do German buyers order most?+

Birch is the leading seller for open fires and stoves. Oak and ash are premium options for high-heat-output buyers. We also ship large volumes of wood briquettes (RUF, Nestro, Pini-Kay) into Germany year-round.

Can you invoice in EUR with intra-community VAT?+

Yes. Germany-to-Latvia is an intra-EU B2B supply. With a valid VAT number we invoice net of VAT under the reverse-charge mechanism.

What is the minimum order?+

One full 40ft container (about 60–64 crates of 1m³ hardwood or ~3,000 retail bags). For repeat buyers we can consolidate mixed pallet loads on curtainsider trucks.
