Wholesale Supply · Denmark

Wholesale kiln-dried firewood for Danish merchants and retailers.

Direct road freight from our Latvian mill puts kiln-dried birch, oak and ash on Danish shelves in 2–3 days. Full-load containers, mixed pallets, retail bags and wood briquettes — all sub-20% moisture, FSC/PEFC sourced and ready for the Danish trade.

2–3 day road freight

Curtainsider trucks direct to Copenhagen, Aarhus and Odense. No container ramp required — straight off the truck into your yard.

Retail-ready packaging

22L and 40L netted bags for supermarkets, 1m³ and 2m³ crates for merchants, kindling pallets and briquette bundles.

Nordic Swan aligned

Sub-20% moisture, FSC/PEFC chain of custody. Svanemærket certification arranged on request for retail buyers.

Why Denmark is a strong Baltic firewood market

Danish demand for kiln-dried firewood grew sharply after 2022 as households moved back to wood-burning stoves. Domestic Danish production cannot cover the demand at consistent quality, and Baltic hardwood — particularly birch and oak — is the natural fit.

For merchants, the Latvia-to-Denmark road route is one of the fastest in Europe. Two-to-three day transit means shorter working capital cycles and easier just-in-time restocking during the September–February peak.

How we deliver into Denmark

Curtainsider road freight is the default: from our yard to Copenhagen, Aarhus or Odense in 48–72 hours. Easy tail-lift unloading, no container handling required.

40ft container sea freight for larger volumes — best cost per m³ for buyers with slower stock turn or hard-standing yards.

Consolidated pallet groupage for first-time or top-up orders. Most Danish buyers move to full loads within their first season.

Product mix for the Danish trade

Birch is the year-round volume seller — clean, fast-lighting, mid-heat, suits both open fires and modern stoves. Oak sits at the top of the range for buyers targeting premium households.

Kindling and briquettes complete the offer: kindling is a repeat purchase every visit, and briquettes give slow, clean overnight burns that convert well in Danish retail.

Compliance and paperwork

Commercial invoice, packing list, phytosanitary certificate where required, FSC/PEFC references and moisture certificates on every load. Intra-EU B2B reverse-charge VAT with valid Danish CVR/VAT number.

Frequently asked

How quickly can you deliver to Denmark?+

Direct road freight from our Latvian mill reaches Copenhagen, Aarhus and Odense in 2–3 days after loading. Sea freight through the Baltic ports takes 4–6 days for larger container volumes.

Does your firewood carry Svanemærket (Nordic Swan)?+

Our kiln-drying process, sub-20% moisture spec and FSC/PEFC sourcing meet the practical criteria Nordic Swan requires. Certification can be arranged for retail buyers on request.

What packaging works best for Danish supermarkets?+

22L and 40L netted retail bags are the standard for the Danish retail trade. We also supply 1m³ crates for garden centres and full 2m³ crates for merchants supplying larger private customers.

Can we mix hardwood species in one load?+

Yes. A typical mixed 40ft container might include birch, oak, ash, plus a pallet of kindling and a few pallets of wood briquettes to round out your product mix.

What are your payment terms?+

50% deposit on order confirmation, 50% before dispatch. Established repeat buyers move to net 14 or net 30 terms.
